
Before joining Aspen Investment Management, Brian served as Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of B.C. Ziegler’s Grand Rapids office. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President with Huntington Bank, where he managed the Trust Department overseeing more than $3 billion in institutional and personal trust assets.
With more than three decades of experience in trust administration, estate planning, and institutional asset oversight, Brian brings a deep understanding of fiduciary responsibility and multi-generational planning to the families he serves.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Melissa, our twins—Sam and Sophie—and our six grandchildren. When I’m not with family, I love watching University of Michigan football and Detroit Lions games. I also enjoy golfing, tackling the occasional home project, and being outdoors.
What’s one item on your bucket list?
Two trips: Vietnam and a South African Safari.
What is an interesting fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
I won the city of Holland spelling bee in 3rd grade.
Favorite part of being an Investment Manager:
I enjoy bringing clarity and confidence to complex decisions—especially around estates, trusts, and multi-generational planning. Seeing families gain peace of mind, knowing that their values and wishes are reflected in their financial plan, is incredibly rewarding.
